LICENSING AVAILABLE

Theatre Now's "10-Minute Musical Collection" is the first licensing program of its kind, licensing and publishing only short-form musicals. Established in 2020, the organization's catalog features some of the best emerging, mid-career, and established musical theatre writing teams.

The titles in this collection have all been showcased and developed through Theatre  Now's festival of ten-minute musical flagship program, SOUND BITES. While short plays are widely available, there's a lack of opportunity and availability for short musicals in the commercial and educational theatre landscape. We aim to change that by creating a licensing catalogue, a home, just for short musicals to live and thrive.

Becoming the authors' representatives for titles we've produced, we're extremely passionate about all of these short musicals and we'd like to provide them to you as new programming opportunities in high schools, colleges, community and regional theaters across the country.

In 2024 we venture into licensing full-length musicals and are very excited to add our first two pieces to this category.

As Theatre Now is a non-profit 501(c)(3) artist service organization, proceeds we receive from our licensing program will be invested into our production programming, enabling us to provide greater resources for the development of our authors' next musical theatre shows.

Please see below the available shows for licensing inquires and more information.

Land Acknowledgement

Our office is on the original homeland of the Munsee Lenape tribal nation. Theatre Now acknowledges the painful history of genocide and forced removal from this territory, and we honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous peoples still connected to this land on which we and our artists live and work.

As an organization and as artists, we often gather in virtual space. Take a moment to consider the legacies of colonization embedded within the technologies, structures, and ways of thinking we use every day. We are using equipment and high-speed internet not available to all communities. Even the technologies that are central to much of the art we make leave significant carbon footprints, contributing to changing climates that disproportionately affect indigenous peoples worldwide. Theatre Now invites you to join us in acknowledging all this as well as our shared responsibility: to make good of this time, and for each of us to consider our roles in reconciliation, decolonization, antiracism, and allyship.
